The Annual General Meeting took place on May 7th, during the "Members' Day" at Banbury. Three changes were made on the committee (Secretary, Librarian and Light Rail Section Co-ordinator), and a small increase in subscription has been proposed for membership year 2006 due to rising postal costs.
During the day, Patrick Grace's new H0 scale Swedish layout, Peterstorp (with DCC), was in operation, as well as Raymond Butler's N scale Finnish layout, Tarttila. There was also a second-hand table.

PRESS RELEASE
The Scandinavian Railways Society celebrates its 10th Anniversary at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition, National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham International - Saturday, 4th and Sunday 5th December 2004
Formed in late 1993, the Scandinavian Railways Society was established as a special interest society for anyone interested in the fascinating railways of Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. We published the first edition of our journal Skandiapilen in 1994, so are delighted to celebrate our 10th Anniversary in 2004.
With the kind cooperation of Paul Jones, Exhibition Manager, the Society is delighted to support the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition at the NEC, with
It is believed to be the first occasion in the UK and, possibly, in the world, when model railway layouts representing Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland are exhibited together. They illustrate the striking charm of these countries, in which attractively designed trains run between great cities, smart towns and pretty villages, with big bridges, train ferries and beautiful countryside along the way.
Also supporting the Society's celebrations, with displays of their Scandinavian prototype models at the Exhibition, are model manufacturers Heljan, DJH, Hobbytrade and Brimalm (shown by Great Little Trains).
