About Us

About Us

The society was formed in 1993 to provide an English-language focus for a growing interest in the railways of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, inspired by a number of articles and letters in Continental Modeller magazine.

Despite many changes in that time, most notably the expansion of online information and e-commerce, we are still the focal point for information on the Scandinavian railway scene; and if we don’t know, we probably know someone who does!

We cater to those with an interest in the full-size prototype or modelling the railways of Scandinavia, as well as those interested in narrow-gauge lines, trams and metro systems.

We’re an informal and friendly society and our members are spread across the UK, as well as abroad, both in Scandinavia and further afield.
